Those random ponderings that pop into the mind of author Lloyd L. Corricelli...

Married for almost twenty years to my not-my high school sweetheart. I'm not even sure what the hell that means...we have two children and two loving but sometimes annoying dogs....or is that two loving but sometimes annoying children?

Well, it's been quite a while since I last blogged. To be honest, I haven't really been in a writing mood much but today, I'll give it a shot with another edition of random thoughts.

1. Where is my book? Still sitting with my publisher as she attempts to figure out the proper format for the printer. She lost her art director and some other talent and since then, has been falling behind on most things including getting my book to the publisher. Hopefully she gets her act together soon so I can have it out for the summer/beach reading season.

2. I'm actively playing out again with a band and have a gig tonight. Hopefully it's a good time. I'm a little stressed inside, though I'd never show it, to be playing the first show with a new band.

3. I'm tired of hearing about Don Imus and his screw up. Most people either didn't know he was still on the radio or never heard of him. Personally, what he said was stupid but in the context I didn't think it was as racist as it was made out to be.

As has been pointed out, when Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson clean up the rap community, which has majorly damaged the inner-city with it's view of pimps, hos and disrespect for law and order, then I'll worry about what a washed up lilly white radio hack has to say. We've got black kids killing each other in the streets of Boston but Sharpton and Jackson could care less since it doesn't make them any money.

4. Thankfully Red Sox season is upon us (especially after the dreadful season the Bruins had) but the weather has been anything but cooperative. Not sure I'd want to sit in the frigid cold watching a game unless it was the World Series.

I haven't actually been to a game in a few years and suddenly I find myself with tickets for two games this season including one against the AL champs Detroit. Here's to another championsip for the Olde Town Team!

5. My job has finally gotten challenging and I'm actually enjoying being there. I'm buried but it's a good feeling. Now if I could only get some more help to tackle all the challenges I have.

6. Vacation thoughts.....where to go this year? I thought about NYC but my wife wants to go there at Christmas time. I'm leaning towards Mystic, CT as they have a nice aquarium the kids would like, nice restaurants, the US submarine museum (to bore my wife and daughter) and the Seaport Village. I guess we'll see as we get closer to summer.
